يبدو أنّ تسلّل فيروس #كورونا إلى مخيّم الجليل في بعلبك، لم يدقّ ناقوس الخطر في باقي المخيّمات، أو على الأقلّ في مخيّم برج البراجنة، فالحياة في هذا المخيّم المكتظّ، تسير بشكلها المعتاد، وكأنّ فيروس كورونا غير موجود.
حركة النّاس وتنقّلاتهم داخل الأزقّة، تردّد الأهالي إلى المحالّ التّجاريّة والغذائيّة وسوق الخضار والمقاهي، استمرار افتتاح محالّ بيع الثّياب والسّلع المنزليّة، كلّها أمور لا توحي بأنّ فيروسًا فتّاكًا وغير مرئي يتربّص بالمكان وقاطنيه.
صحيح أنّ نسبة لا بأس بها من القاطنين هنا تلتزم بالحجر المنزليّ، وتتّخذ التدابير الاحترازيّة اللّازمة، إلّا أنّ ذلك بحسب متابعين لهذا الملف، غير كاف للوقاية من تفشّي وباء فيروس كورونا، خاصّة مع صعوبة ضبط حركة الدّخول والخروج من مداخل المخيّم الرّئيسة والفرعيّة، الّتي يصل عددها إلى نحو ثلاثين، وهنا تتجدّد الدّعوات للّجان الشّعبيّة والقوّة الأمنيّة إلى ضرورة إغلاق أكبر عدد من تلك المداخل الفرعيّة، رغم معارضة بعض الأهالي لهذا الأمر، وما يزيد في الطّين بلّة وفق هؤلاء، توافد أعداد كبيرة من خارج المخيّم إلى مقرّ “أطباء بلا حدود”، ودخول باعة متجوّلين وعرباتهم إلى داخل المخيّم.
واقع يحذر من تداعياته ناشطون في المخيّم، لا سيّما أنّ وتيرة حملات التّوعية والتّعقيم خفتت تدريجيًّا وتكاد تتلاشى، بعد أن كانت مكثّفة وفي أوجّها خلال الفترات الأولى من تفشّي الفيروس في البلاد، وجاءت غالبيّة هذه الحملات كمبادرات أطلقها أفراد ومجموعات داخل المخيّم فضلاً عن مؤسّسات المجتمع الأهليّ والمدنيّ وبعض القوى والفصائل، ولم تقتصر هذه الجهود على الوقاية من فيروس كورونا المستجدّ، بل تعدّتها لتطال الجانب الإنسانيّ والإغاثيّ، بهدف التّخفيف من التّداعيات الاقتصاديّة لهذا الوباء على العائلات.
مساهمات جاءت كمحاولة لسدّ ثغرة عجز الأونروا؛ الغائب الأبرز عن معاناة اللّاجئين في ظلّ أزمتها الماليّة وتراجع خدماتها المقدّمة لهم، وجاءت أيضًا كمسعى للتّكامل مع جهود الهلال الأحمر الفلسطينيّ؛ ذي الإمكانيّات المحدودة أصلاً.
ومع انحسار أعداد المصابين بالفيروس محليًّا، ومع بدء مرحلة تخفيف القيود والتّعبئة العامّة في البلاد، يعني أنّنا مقبلون على مرحلة شديدة الحساسيّة لجهة احتمال ظهور موجة جديدة من الإصابات، مستجدّات تستدعي أوّلاً من الجهات المعنيّة وعلى رأسها الأونروا، تكثيف الجهود لضبط الأمور ميدانيًّا، لتفادي انتشار فيروس كورونا في المخيّمات، خاصّة أنّ الجهات الرسميّة اللّبنانيّة أعلنت غير مرّة أنّ القدرة الاستيعابيّة للمستشفيات لديها محدودة، وستكون الأولويّة بطبيعة الحال لمعالجة اللّبنانيّين.
أمّا المطلوب ثانياً، يقع على عاتقنا نحن كلاجئين، وهو التّحلّي بأعلى درجات الوعي والمسؤوليّة تجاه مجتمعنا وتجاه أسرنا وأنفسنا، وضرورة الالتزام بتدابير الوقاية والتّباعد الاجتماعيّ، فهذا الفيروس غير المرئيّ، أثبت أن لا مجتمع محصّنًا منه، وأن لا أحد بمنأى عن الإصابة به، فعدوى واحدة كفيلة – لا قدّر الله – أن تؤدّي إلى كارثة إنسانيّة وصحيّة محقّقة، لن تتمكّن المخيّمات من تحمّل تبعاتها، ويبقى الأمل أن تحمل الأيّام المقبلة، انفراجًا ونهاية لمعاناة المخيّمات.

Palestinian Refugees in Lebanon: we are alone in the face of corona

It seems like the seepage of corona virus into the Galile camp in Baalbek didn’t send an alert to the rest of the camps, or at least in Burj Al- Barajneh camp, as life in this crowded camp is proceeding as usual, and as if corona virus didn’t exist. The people and their movements within the alleys, the rushing of the people to the food stores and cafe markets, the clothes and household goods stores that are still open, all of which do not imply that a deadly and invisible virus lurks around the place and around its residents.
It’s true that a fine percentage of the residents here are quarantining, and taking the necessary precautionary consensus, but we are following up on this file and that’s not enough to eliminate the outbreak of corona virus epidemic, especially with the difficulty of controlling the movement of the ins and outs from more than thirty main and the sub- entrances of the camp. So from here, we renewed the calls for the Popular Committees and the security forces to close this large number of sub entrances even if this won’t meet approval from some of the families. Adding to this dangerous scenario is the fact that a large number of people from outside the camp flocked to MSF center, in addition to the constant entry of street vendors and their vehicles to the camp.
The reality that the activists in the camp warn of its repercussions. Especially that the percentage of awareness and sterilization campaigns gradually vanishing and almost faded, after they were intense during the first period of the virus outbreak in the country. These Initiatives were mostly done by volunteer individuals and groups inside the camp to prevent the new corona virus and to alleviate the economic consequences of this epidemic on families.
Contributions came as an attempt to bridge the gap left by UNRWA; the most prominent absence from the suffering of the refugees in the financial crisis and the retreat of their services provided to them, also it came as an attempt to integrate with the efforts of the Palestinian Red Crescent, which has already limited capabilities.
With the decline in the number of infected individuals locally, and with the beginning of the phase of easing restrictions and general mobilization in the country, it means that we Are heading towards a very sensitive stage in terms of the possibility of a new wave of infections.
New updates are calling from the concerned authorities, led by the intensifying efforts to adjust matters in the field to avoid the spread of corona virus in the camps, especially since the Lebanese authorities have announced on many occasions that the hospitals capacity is limited, and the priority for treating the Lebanese citizens for sure.
And what is now required is falling on us as refugees, which is to show the highest levels of awareness and responsibility towards our families and ourselves. This invisible virus has proven that no one and no society is immune to infection, and that one case is enough to cause a real humanitarian and health catastrophe that the camps cant bear its consequences. We hope that the coming days will carry relief and an end to the suffering of the camps.
